Working group in charge of all questions related to the assessment of the toxicological profile of cosmetic ingredients manufactured and/or marketed by UNITIS Members.
It has been at the origin of the toxicological evaluation file of cosmetic ingredients of natural origin and its Charter.
It is permanently watching over new topics, trends or regulations coming in this field.

Working Group dedicated to:
- watch over all topics that may create media crisis or new regulatory decisions
- prepare the supply of objective specialized information and propose recommendations for the Profession.
It is the place where UNITIS can anticipate sensitive matters before making proposals, taking position or engaging action.

¤ WG Ingredients nomenclatures

This working group has in charge the survey of major cosmetic ingredients nomenclatures in order to avoid errors, misunderstandings or inadequate names.
Moreover, it can prepare proposals for new innovative categories of ingredients or concerning taxonomy of botanical ingredients.

¤ TF Allergenic substances
|
|

|
|
|
|
Task Force dedicated to screen botanicals used by members for their content in allergenic substances according to the 7th amendment with the aim to help them to provide adapted quantitative answers to their customers.
It already screened 315 plants and is pursuing its works.

¤ TF Guidelines suppliers
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Task Force looking for a standardized form on company and product information to provide customers in order to make the administrative burden lighter for distributors and suppliers.
|

|
|
|
|
|
The Task Force KOREA has been created so as to study all aspects and prepare actions concerning the cooperation between UNITIS and KCA (Korea Cosmetic Association) related to the new Korean cosmetic law.
It has been designing the Joint Symposium organized in Seoul on September 25, 2003 on MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING ON FUNCTIONAL INGREDIENTS FOR COSMETIC CONSUMERS.

Sub-group of the Ingredients of Botanical Origin WG, this Task Force is dedicated to study the various ways enabling to defend plants endangered for use in cosmetics due to the pressure of the regulators or ecologists' associations.
It is currently working on the example of CALENDULA OFFICINALIS.

Task Force created with the view to build proposals for a better definition of substances with oestrogenic effect in annexe II of the Cosmetics Directive.
